Our Care

The care, comfort and welfare of our residents is our primary consideration at the home.  This principle remains irrespective of whether they are with us for just a day, or for the long term.  The emphasis is to  provide a personal approach to each of our residents individual needs and to make their time with us as enjoyable as it can be.

All staff at Tyn-Y-Graig hold appropriate qualifications, with most holding NVQ level 2 status, and some training towards level 3.  We have in place a continuous staff development programme to ensure our high standards are maintained and are compliant with the latest developments in care practices, current legislation , regulations and national care standards.
We aim to provide our residents with a happy, homely, comfortable and secure enviornment where they know at all times that their care and well-being are our primary consideration.

The home employs a Home Manager, 19 care assistants, 2 cooks, 2 care helpers, a handyman and a house keeper.  This provides a ratio of staff to residents of nearly 1:1, which allows us to achieve the personal level of care that we strive for.  Staff are vital to us in delivering our vision of personal care, therefore we adhere to strict recruitment policies, and staff complete an induction programme set by the Care Council of Wales.
